Job Description:
GIS Specialist
Opportunity available for a GIS Specialist to join our GIS department and assist professional engineers and geologists in the water resources field. The successful respondent will work in Orlando, performing data development and analysis to support computer modeling of surface and groundwater systems, stormwater management planning, water supply development and other related studies in the water resources field.
Requirements:
•
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Earth Sciences or closely related field; or equivalent working experience and training.
•
Strong technical knowledge of ArcGIS, geoprocessing tools, coordinate systems, database development and maintenance, ArcObjects, VB.NET and/or Python
•
Experience with geoprocessing models, 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, ArcHydro, and basic SQL for query development, is desirable.
•
Superior communication, technical and organizational skills, a thorough understanding of coordinate geometry and algebra, and capable of working with oral, written and diagrammatic instructions.
