Ardaman’s Sarasota office was founded in 1960 and has been led by Gary Schmidt, P.E. since 1973. Mr. Schmidt is Sr. Vice President and Manager of Ardaman’s Sarasota office and Principal-in-Charge of the Port Charlotte office. Ardaman’s accomplished team at the Sarasota office has served as the consulting materials and geotechnical engineers on more than 20,000 projects in the local area. Sarasota’s engineers are supported by a significant staff of local technicians who are highly trained and properly certified in their respective work areas. This office has provided materials testing services to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) locally for many years, and our laboratory facilities meet the stringent FDOT requirements. All testing personnel and equipment are in compliance with ASTM and ACI standards. In addition, our employees have also been certified by the ACI and by the Concrete and Material Engineers Council to conduct concrete and quality control tests.
