We have been providing geotechnical and environmental engineering services as well as materials consultancy in Florida since 1959. In the early seventies, ownership and management of Ardaman transitioned to an experienced team of university professors and practicing professional engineers, led by my mentor, the late Dr. Anwar Wissa. Since then, and throughout our growth cycle including our expansion into Louisiana and onto projects worldwide in our specialty niche areas, the firm maintained its entrepreneurial spirit and invariably relied on the technical ability, expertise, professional integrity, and devotion of its core staff of employees, our main resource. In 2002, Ardaman joined the Tetra Tech family of companies as a wholly owned subsidiary, continuing with the same entrepreneurial independent spirit of a specialty firm combined with and guided by the great opportunities afforded by a much larger multi-faceted global company.
By combining academic excellence with practical know-how, Ardaman is well positioned to adopt innovative solutions. This is achieved by soliciting input from our internal team of experts and by supplementing experience, basic engineering principles and theoretical models with state-of-the art instrumentation and testing equipment. The firm is well equipped to perform applied research in our state-of-the-art Orlando laboratory in order to find compatible solutions to complex problems associated with special projects, thus keeping us at the forefront of innovation. As a result, we were the first company to design the first lined phosphogypsum stack in the world using a compatible liner system, the first to successfully remediate a major sinkhole in the middle of a 200-foot high waste disposal area, the first to develop a special non-reactive synthetic slope drain, amongst other firsts.
Fostering a culture of great, honest service to our clients is equally important to engender your trust. At Ardaman, “Good enough usually isn’t.”
The safety of our employees, as well as that of our clients and the general public is a core value paramount to every facet of our practice at every constructed facility we are involved with. Our behavior based safety program has been in effect since 2009, and I am pleased to report that our safety metrics have improved significantly year after year. Our employees embrace a safety culture that is supported at every level of our organization as we strive to achieve our objective of an injury-free workplace.
Fostering a culture of dedicated service to our clients is equally important to engender your trust. At Ardaman, “Good enough usually isn’t.” We expect our employees to subscribe to a high level of quality and professionalism that you have come to expect from us, and we endeavor to learn something new from each project we do. Our mission is to use our experience and expertise to find a unique, practical and cost effective solution to your problem that meets expectations over the life cycle of the project. We strive for quality over quantity, take ownership, and aim to give your project all the attention it needs.
I am proud of our history, and I am honored to lead a team of qualified professionals who are eager to service your needs with technical excellence, passion and commitment. Please do not hesitate to contact me or one of my associates when we can be of assistance.
